When you use the portfolio assistant, the messages you submit and your browser-reported timezone are sent to this site's server. They are processed through Vercel AI Gateway and the configured AI model provider so the assistant can respond.

Chat history is also saved locally in your browser, up to 50 messages, so a conversation can continue after a refresh. Starting a new chat clears that local history. The site does not create an account or intentionally add chat transcripts to its own database, though hosting and AI providers may process operational logs under their own policies.

If you ask the assistant to send a message, it will collect contact details and require confirmation before submitting them through the contact workflow. Do not include passwords, financial information, health information, or other sensitive data in chat.

The contact form and confirmed assistant contact tool collect your name, email address, and message so Jacob can reply. Messages are delivered through Google Workspace email. When configured, a copy is also sent to Jacob through Telegram as a notification.

Correspondence may remain in those services for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond, maintain professional records, or meet legal obligations.

The site uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate visits, page usage, and performance. It does not use this information to build advertising profiles.

Request metadata, including an IP address, may be processed by the hosting platform and is used by this site for short-lived rate limiting and abuse prevention.

You can clear assistant history with the New chat control or by clearing this site's browser storage. You can also use direct email instead of the assistant.
